The Owatonna Foundation recently received a $2000.00 donation from Concepts and Designs, Inc. (CDI). CDI is a locally developed and grown company started in the home of Tom and Sue Peterson as a computer aided drafting business. In 1991 the business was incorporated as Concepts and Designs, Inc. (CDI). Currently, the company builds industrial and commercial HVAC equipment specializing in Desiccant Dehumidification. “In honor of my father, Vern White, who loved the Owatonna community, we are proud to support the Owatonna Foundation. We appreciate everything the Owatonna Foundation does to better our community so companies like ours can grow.” said Susan Peterson.

The Owatonna Foundation, now in its 58th year of serving the Owatonna community, provides “brick and mortar” grants in Owatonna and its environs in four areas: Recreation, Education, Arts, and Community projects. The Foundation also provides both traditional and non-traditional scholarships for 2 year colleges and technical schools.
The Foundation was established in 1957 with the goal of improving the quality of life for present and future generations of Owatonna residents. Since then, the Owatonna Foundation has committed more than $11.5 million dollars in grants and scholarships to local organizations and students.
