Dr. Bob Wottreng
Bob Wottreng, D.D.S, is originally from Rochester, Minnesota. Bob joined the Owatonna Foundation in 2017. He graduated in 1995 from John Marshall High School and in 1999 from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a bachelor’s degree in biology and political science. He completed his education in 2003 graduating with a doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Family is a high priority for Bob and his wife, Karen, who he has been blessed to be married to since 1999. In 2003 Bob and Karen chose to make their home in Owatonna. They have been blessed over the years in many ways: they operate a thriving dental clinic, Wottreng Family Dental, which they started in 2005. They have three wonderful boys who are active in community sports, music, and church activities.
Service to the community is also a priority for Bob as he sees value in all people around him and seeks to make the world a better place for everyone, one person at a time. It seems that we can have the most impact in our communities where we live and work so Bob has given countess hours to help local organizations. Priorities over the years include leading his church’s youth ministry program, serving on the Owatonna School Board, coaching youth soccer, basketball and baseball teams, and volunteering with the American Red Cross as a CPR instructor. In 2017 Bob was honored to be invited to join the Owatonna Foundation as a trustee. To unwind and re-charge, Bob spends his time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, reading, mentoring senior high youth at his church, water skiing, downhill skiing, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
