Kim Cosens

I have always had a driving desire to help others. This desire to set goals and guide clients to financial success is at the very core of our practice. I am a registered financial advisor and have been with Edward Jones since 2002. I'm proud to help individuals and families make sound financial decisions through every chapter of their lives.

Whether your goal is to retire early, educate your children or grandchildren, manage your income in retirement or save money on taxes, I will meet with you face-to-face to understand what is important to you, use an established 5-step process to build personalized strategies and partner with you throughout your life to help you stay on track. I'm known for my ability to simplify clients' financial lives by helping them consolidate accounts and keeping them informed so they understand their financial strategy.

I have been blessed to receive numerous awards throughout my career at Edward Jones. I enjoy working on our leadership team, advising and coaching some of our region's most experienced financial advisors to become more effective in helping their clients. I am proud to be among the top advisors in a firm of over 19,000 advisors.

I believe in giving back to the community. I currently serve as a trustee for the Owatonna Foundation. I have served as a commissioner for Owatonna Public Utilities for 10 years, where I was president twice. I have served as a deacon in my church and am a member of the Owatonna Rotary Club, also serving as president. I started the Harry Wenger Marching Band Festival and served as festival director and board president for 10 years. I founded the Southern MN Real Big Band in 1996 and continue to play lead alto saxophone ever since. I enjoy playing saxophone and piano for a wide variety of community and private events.

I graduated cum laude from the University of South Dakota in 1983. I enjoy spending time outdoors, golfing, traveling the world and spending time with my family, including seven grandchildren.
