Attention Graduating Seniors: Scholarships Available
You know how when you buy a certain brand of car and then every car you see afterward seems to be the same brand? I’m having that experience here at the Foundation.
The Owatonna Foundation has operated a scholarship program for 20 years, awarding grants of $500-$3,000 to support local students attending a two-year community or technical college.
Now, it seems, I can’t look around without seeing a scholarship opportunity for Owatonna students. Here are just a few that I noticed lately:
AAUW– A $1,000 scholarship to a female graduate pursuing a degree with an environmental focus.
Allina- For students planning or attending a college, university or graduate health care program. Due March 21st.
Little Theater- For students an interest in the performing arts. Due March 27th.
Schwanke Memorial Scholarship – Up to $1,000 for diesel technology students from Steele County.
And of course, the Owatonna Foundation- Applications Due April 10th.
More information about a variety of scholarship opportunities is also available through the high school here.
