A letter of thanks from Board President, Betsy Lindgren…

Posted on March 14, 2017 by Laura ReslerMarch 14, 2017

Dear Editor,

Who would have imagined in 1958 when the Owatonna Foundation was formed by some of the most philanthropic community members that almost 60 years later our community foundation would fund over $11.75 million dollars in projects that have enhanced our lives while building a legacy for generations to come!

A person once said, “A strong community doesn’t exist from the power of one person, but rather the collective commitment of the whole community with a shared vision to make it great!”  The spirit of the Owatonna Foundation’s mission is simple; invest in ideas, visions, and people.

The giving capacity of Owatonna has always amazed me! I know I speak for all of us when we acknowledge how very blessed we are to play, work and live in such a generous community.   I, and the volunteers, who are members of the Board of Trustees and the stewards of your invested dollars want to say a very profound, ‘THANK YOU’!

The Owatonna Foundation could not continue to grant worthy projects and endeavors if it was not for the generosity of all the committed business, industry and individual donors who call Owatonna ‘home’!  Again, many thanks for your continued support of the Owatonna Foundation.

Most sincerely,
Betsy Kennedy Lindgren
President, Owatonna Foundation
