Angela Gonzales

Angela Wagner Gonzales is the Executive Coordinator at the Owatonna Foundation. She is originally from Superior, WI and attended UW-Eau Claire where she received a BBA in Business Administration and double minor in Public Relations and Organizational Communications. She started her career with Us Bancorp with an entry level position entering stock and bond trades for Trust Accounts. As her career grew, she went on to support Trust Account Attorneys and then Portfolio Managers. At the age of 26, she became the youngest Portfolio Manager at US Bancorp and one of only a handful of women at that time.


She went on to marry and have 2 sons. Reis, now 21, is a Junior in Computer Science and German at the University of WI-La Crosse and Reed is a senior at Hudson High School. She raised her family in Hudson, WI, where she pursued her MPNA (Master’s Degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration) on nights and weekends. She went on to start her own consulting company AKWagner Consulting and helped various small businesses and nonprofits around the Hudson, Stillwater, and the Twin Cities in areas of Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, and Board/Volunteer recruitment and retainment.


She has volunteered for Junior Achievement, Operation Help, Youth Action Hudson, Hudson Soccer Association, Rivercrest Elementary School as a math and reading tutor, and was a Team Captain for JDRF’s (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund) One Walk at the Mall of America, raising thousands of dollars for Juvenile Diabetes after her son Reed was diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 10. She continues to be a strong advocate for T1D research and development.


In November 2020, she married her long-time sweetheart and made Owatonna her permanent home. She also gained a bonus daughter Brittni that works for US Bank and a bonus son Jayden that serves in the US Navy in Norfolk, VA. Her hobbies include gardening, interior design, music, reading, and crafting. She hopes to spend her time getting to know Owatonna and the community and finding ways to give back and create long lasting connections and friendships.
